No, it's true ivory. Must have been an amazingly big defense.

Sadly there is two miss, one under the "A", and a foot of the angel at the right. :( But it's quite negligible compared to the overall state.

It weigh between 4 and 5 kg :)

This razor has been identified by the Henckels house as one manufactured for the World's Columbian Exposition (also known as the Chicago World's Fair), which took place in 1893.

On the back of the scales, J.A. Henckels is carved in negative, the razor was made to be displayed in front of a mirror.
