Wanted to add that shot here, interesting here is the color variances of some of the stones, as you can see in most cases there are two types of coloration.

one turns into a purple/red coloration...

Here is one i got last week from France, it measures 17x4x2cm. It only shows a very faint stamping...

It depends i had some which did autoslurry quite fast. I also had some hard ones which do not tend to auto slurry....

Those are Stones from Belgium....

Some updates...here is a group shot of my actual collection. It shows both of the AD Stones (AD12/AD20) which were sold in those nice wooden boxes. Both stones, a natural and a synthethic SIC Stone...

Just planning some additional series also with explanations...just actually thinking about which software to use and how they should look like...iam sure there is more to come...just cant tell when...

yes thats my gues that this is also one of those sulphur smelling stones...

Not 100% sure but i reminds me on the Pierre Chimique or Pierre D'affutage. It seems to be a synthethic Material with a specific abrasive....

Yesi think there were different Qualities available...also the fineness depends on how fine the stone is lapped..try to lapp it with a 400WD paper and see what happens....

There are some stones appearing "comparable" to the black/blue metallic looking Special Stones only for Good razors...

I also own three of these hard type stones with these glittering inclusions,...

I dont think its one bit it looks like one...

The most intesting is the label and the stamp for me, i have to admit that this one reminds me more on a Pierre Aiguiser Naturelle de Saurat then on a Special Stone.....
