Wanted to add that shot here, interesting here is the color variances of some of the stones, as you can see in most cases there are two types of coloration.
one turns into a purple/red coloration... -

It depends i had some which did autoslurry quite...

Some updates...here is a group shot of my actual collection. It shows both of the AD Stones (AD12/AD20) which were sold in those nice wooden boxes. Both stones, a natural and a synthethic SIC Stone...

Yesi think there were different Qualities available...also the fineness depends on how fine the stone is lapped..try to lapp it with a 400WD paper and see what happens....
