Well update.... I carried out the lapathon from 80 grit up to 325. It took quite a while to be sure, but the results were what I wanted. The hones feedback seems normal and is putting on a good edge....

I wasn't going to stop at 80. Just trying to speed up the lapping process. Talked to Mike an he was a great even offering to send a new hone if I don't get this fixed.

Grid was def clearing before. Tonight I went to town on it with 80 grit. Went over it with a junk razor and certainly feels better but I won't know until tom when I try legit.

Well seeing as I bought it second hand it doesn't seem right for him to take a hit. I would certainly, gladly accept his advice though. I have also heard he is a great vendor willing to go the extra.
