At one point, I bought the high end Sonic Care that had a UV sterilization cabinet for the brush head. It (the cabinet portion) eventually died and I saw little benefit to paying hundreds for another.

Then you have to worry about betadine staining and the clean up of that stuff...There are many elegant solutions that are overkill. I suppose we could also check in to having them irradiated, but why...
