I lapped the stones and gave it a go....not bad results. Both blades are much much...

So i picked up a norton 4000 and 8000 stone and a truing stone. I will watch some vids and see how it goes.

Ok. I wont try the stone again. The leather gets it real sharp. I will just stick with that for now.

Does anybody have an idea how old the eagle blade is?

The eagle is etched into the blade. I have tried to sharpen the blade following vids on youtube. All i have is the stone and a leather strop. I think it is ok sharpe.

I think it may be a lenox...
