If there is time i do but often i settle for rubbing my face with hot and water and a bit of shower gel. I'm not sure i notice a huge amount of difference to the shave but it leaves my face feeling...

I like a shower afterwards if there is time - my preshave routine involves rubbing my face with warm water and then shaving as normal.
