Thanks for all the replies! I soaked the scales for several days in oil to rehydrate them, but I am still nervous:)I might just do a couple of mock ups and then decide, I am worried about the scales...

I am working on a Sheffield 7 day set with ivory scales, and have finished up all of the cleaning. I have seen various information about pinning ivory- some say to use washers and others say don't....
