Bandicoots are cute but the carry Paralysis ticks which if get attached to the Dog or your child can cause fatal paralysis.

My daughter had on on her ankle last year but screamed the place down...

We have a carpet python in the roof, possums on the roof, several large geko's, green tree frogs, bandicoots, a bush turkey and several fruit bats… All in, or on the house, or in the garden (Bush)…....
