You need three hands. If you get silicone or rubber jaw liners for a vice you can hold the wedge end there and use two hands to fiddle at the pivot. Tweezers are needed.

All the washers I've taken out of vintage razors...
All the washers I've taken out of vintage razors are very thin. I take new ones and flatten them further with a peening hammer on the back of an old DMT hone.
