Frederick Reynolds are superb blades, I got this one awhile back, a, "Celebrated Hollow Ground Razor, For Barbers Use", you can just see the etch in the pic, the etching isn't stamped, think...

I just found 6" x 1" 14 gauge sterling sheet on the bay for $95.99 each. That's pretty expensive but for someone wanting to make some really nice scales, 14 gauge (.083") would be thick enough.

That was why I asked. I figured they were sterling. Very nice!!!

Thank you Shaun! I also had to needed a thicker wedge for that one & I had a vintage one that was a little too big so I filed it down to fit. It is all vintage except for the pins.
