I hear ya, I'm just talking about the scales, I don't plan to do anything further with the etching except to preserve it, but I'm going to wax the scales up a bit or at least clean them up a little...

Thanks, am I correct in assuming that the black color in the divots of the silver are supposed to be there? I know there's a name for it, but I forget what it's called.
