I also would add that I have found in restoring DE's that I don't "need" power tools such as a dremel. It is a bit more work an elbow grease but the chances of rubbing paint or finish off is far less...

Thanks ted. Im pretty pleased with it. It was in great shape to start with. But Ive used that same cleaning process many times an it always works well. Especially on the old gillettes

I just finished a red tip this weekend. The color seemed to hold up well for what I used. I soaked in hot soapy water for an hr or so. Then toothbrushed with soap water. Cleaned with never dull...
