So just to update this I was doing 45 degree swooping x strokes on my coticule with slurry but will probably have to drop down to the 1k. The very very tip of the razor remain: with black ink on it....

I'll try shaving with it tomorrow and if it's crappy I'll go right down to bevel set and try the 45 degree strokes with a swoop at the end and see if that does the trick

Maybe isn't new but for 40 bucks I can't complain. I am not sure if all of them come with a small smile at the tip. What do you think I should do.

I know this is kind of stupid... But I decided to take it down to bevel set and go through finish just on the coticule. Everything turned out great except for the very tip. About 1-2/8 you can see...
