Dont know about in Australia but here, beauty supply shops carry cheap Chinese DE razors. I'd THINK Pacific rim stuff (maybe a Weishi) would be cheap and easy to find.

Watch the antique shops too. I picked up a 62 Gillette slim for $5. 20 minutes scrubbing it with toothpaste and it looks new. It also function perfectly. Same story on a 58 fatboy I bought for $9....

Wilkinson swords plastic razor is surprisingly nice to use and comes with a pack of blades for around $10. Its a very mild DE and makes a good travel razor too. Search YouTube there are several...
