Ed, glad to hear you got the GEM sorted. The SE shave continues to amaze.

I haven't used the mongoose. But it would be hard pressed to beat an old school SE razor loaded with pella blades. With my Gem 1912, I often get as good as a straight shave. And it is oh so comfy....
