Yeah I thought about doing that. However I decided I am gonna do the SRD razor and strop deal. As far as I am aware you can change the leather and fabric on the strops so to me thats a huge plus.

So if or rather when I nick the strop it is still usable right? At what point would it not be?

Though im timid about the first shave its definitely the stropping that I am worried about. I know it will be learned. I just really dont want to ruin my razor. Time to read and watch more videos...

I have been constantly reading any and everything I can brother. However I know that you can never learn enough. I will definitely take you advice and go feather light on the strop.
