Yeah that's what it does. The powder burns like crazy and left a little scar where I used it. Haven't tried the gauze yet, but trust me I will.

Edit: didn't use on my face, it was my wrist in 2003.

I've got a pretty large pile of quikclot. The powdered variety from when I was in the Army and some roll on gauze from my current job. I figure that should work right?
