Only way I was able to coax an edge out of my Coticule was a mixture of mineral oil and mineral spirits. Pure mineral oil was too thick/viscous, so I had to cut it with spirits to thin it out a tad.

Finally got my Morley Clover touched up on the Welsh slate set from AJ. Heavy slurry on the Dragon's Tongue to ensure bevel set, diluted to pure water, light slurry on the LM then some pure water...

Addendum to above - the best progression for the Welsh slates is 1k bevel setter -> heavy slurry on Dragon's Tongue, dilute to pure water. -> light slurry on Lynn Melynllyn, dilute to pure water....

Sand paper in stages - 320 grit, 600 grit, 1k, 2K. Then if I'm feeling frisky I'll rub it against other hones of varying grit until I have the polish I want.
