Would 320 grit wet dry sandpaper work to flatten the lapping stone?

I am wondering if i can get by with just the norton 4/8 k then leather strop ,i would rather get the Naniwa set but cannot afford them,so i guess the question is if i get the norton 4/8 can i go...
