I've gotten to where I use my CC card more just because I know it is safer. Thankfully I haven't had to call about something like this, but using your CC gives you more protection.

When I've called and EVENTUALLY got a person they have usually taken care of me before. That is rough. Have you tried calling back and trying to get someone more helpful?
