This is a 'return' to the Roger razor that 'failed' in Shave report 3 above due to the fact that the REX blade didn't quite...

Received another three wedge blades from Glen / @gssixgun (in addition to the REX I had received earlier) - and they look great!

With three razors to go I'm thinking they will each get the first...

Shave Report # 5 - Le Coq


I actually got two Le Coq razors to try out. The one I picked for today's shave is the more 'substantial' of the two as far as weight goes.

You might be able to use a modern SE blade in it as well. Not sure though. But my L'Essor takes a modern blade just fine for instance.

I actually don't know yet - it LOOKS like it will fit but I haven't physically tested the one honed blade I have into all of them.
It does seem to be a rather standard size for the French hoe razors...

Thanks, never used a Rolls but I've heard great things about them.
I'll post a short video this week showing the blade being stropped :)

I also meant to ask - was it much different than honing and stropping a straight razor (size aside)?

You did a fantastic job Glen - it was like cutting through butter with it :)

I'm going to take that as an endorsement to use these razors as I loved Buck Rogers :D
