What I meant was a straight edge, but with the rest of the blade in whatever shape that pleases you then when you come to hone it, you clip on the straight spine that enables you to hone the edge...

Is it possible to make really unusual shaped blade with a spine that you could clip on to the razor whilst honing and remove during shaving - it could make for some very interesting designs.
