I've been going back and forth between Norton and Naniwa and now I have the king hones to rattle around in my head too. My edges off of the king 1k/6k is almost good but I'm sure it would be easier...

Found separates on Leevalley. Seems like the price is about the same either way. Still a hard choice for me. I'll be keeping up with this thread to see what everyone thinks comparing the 2.

I didn't know King had a 4/8. I have one of their 1k/6k stones and the 6 isn't quite fine enough to shave off of. Post a link of where you found it so I can look into one myself.
