Thank you, I really appreciate that. I get the blade so black as a part of the etch process for the damascus. I use a ferric acid blend. It turns out this cool black, I like the darkness too.

Yessir. As for me, my favorite wood is currently Jerusalem Olive wood, or red cocobolo. Though curly burl walnut is nice as well.
