that could be (the cleaner). who knows what goes on when they clean or what they use. For sure the mineral oil was good. It was a new brand bottle from CVS.

I dipped a q-tip in a new clean bottle of mineral oil and slathered the blade and pin with it ... then wiped off excess with clean dry tissue.
