Less expensive blades teach you proper blade maintenance due to a softer edge. It's pretty cool when you get them working.

And you have to remember the RR ships with a hollow grind..not a traditional wedge. So unless you turned the entire thing into a Scandinavian grind (no thanks) you really have no choice. 17 degrees...

How does a 17.5 inclusive bevel with a 20 degree micro bevel not make any sense? The micro has to be at least 3 degrees steeper in order to make any noticeable difference.

The one pictured is just a standard Dovo with olive wood scales..it still ran me $225..The RR cost me 12 dollars and it's just as comfortable to shave with as the Dovo..and a hell of a lot easier to...
