Do I need a lapping/ flattening stone?
400 grit as per the instruction pamphlet that came with my Norton 4/8k. That's what I go with and it works for me.

Do I need a lapping/ flattening stone?
I have a Norton flattening stone and I have been nothing but disappointed with it. If I could do it over I would save the money and lap on 400 grit sandpaper over a granite tile from Lowes/Home...
