I can't top the .50 cal - that is very cool.

I did get my son a Henry .22 cal Lever action rifle for Christmas. Took it to the range and it shoots really well - great gun with the classic look.

Correct but he was going to add a 16" barrel to the 1911. Since I couldn't find a picture of a 1911 with a stock and a 16" barrel I showed this as a 1911 with carbine upper.

With the barrel length measured from the front to the detach point of the stock it would be over 16 inches and should be considered a normal rifle - kind of like these.

I had a chance to shoot a .50 S&W handgun - stick with the .44 mag. Unless I had an angry grizzly charging me or a rhino about to run me over I can't think of any practical use for the .50 S&W.
