The two translucent Arkansas stones I sent to Dan's Whetstone for lapping. They came back today and I couldn't be happier! The one that is narrower has some cracks on one end but it held together...

This one I think is Welsh purple slate, cleaned up and lapped nicely! It's a thick chunk.
