Don't know about Palmolive, but other sticks I've used were not triple-milled as they probably wanted the soap to be softer for easier application directly from the stick.

I can't really explain why, but I really prefer hard soaps to soft ones. Unfortunately, most of the European production went vegetal, while most of the American artisans make soft Italian type soaps....
