I believe that those frowns are not made on convex finishing stones but during some coarser sharpening work.
I sm quite sure, finishing on convex Coticule (or even on any finisher) will not...

Btw convexing the stone does allow me working with very shallow stones.
My shallowest is the translucent Arkansas 1cm x 1cm x 15cm, its basically a stone file :)

As far as I know Dovo does convex his stones in both directions: from side to side and lengthwise from one end to another, so its a spherical form.

For my shallow Zulu I‘ve achieved convexity by tilting the hone during lapping it on a diamond plate (should be bigger than the hone) and after refining the scratches on a glas plate with whet/dry...

In a meanwhile I ve learned that high polishing the blade reduces the rusting to a certain extent. But this razor is something special, it rusts like magic :D

In past I've used my Zulu with misty slurry made by its own slurry stone and loved the edges of it.
