My replacement tumbler from Harbor Freight didn't...
My replacement tumbler from Harbor Freight didn't even make it one day before breaking.
So I'd say stay way from them. They aren't worth the trouble and Midway's delivery time is superior.

I'd strongly recommend buying from Midway rather than Harbor Freight. I have two from Harbor Freight and both had the trouble previously mentioned of the bowl turning. Well after tightening them down...

Glen you're right that the super fine white sand...
Glen you're right that the super fine white sand or silica works, also the fine glass beads also work.

Glen, I think my experiment with an old horn scaled one proves that you can do it with the scales on. And I used them in the new plastic pyramid media which works better than any other by the way....

Well a fine silica sand does work but it doesn't...
Well a fine silica sand does work but it doesn't flow as well as the walnut shells, due to it's weight I believe.
And so far I haven't noticed any difference between the two in cleaning ability.... -
