Actually on the Ka-Bar site, the company didn't take the name Ka-Bar until 1952.
So the name Ka-Bar on the knives and razors was not technically the brand name I guess

Thanks for that info. The odd thing is even on Ka-Bars site there is no mention of straight razors or when they were produced.

Did a little cleaning and reshaping the scales this afternoon

I will shave with it at least once, it's going to need to be sharpened after I clean it up.But I've got stones (thanks Addison) and have a pretty good handle on honing.
