Yes, pasted strops are nice. I have a hanging strop (linen) with CrOx. This gives me an amizingly sharp edge. My backup razor is being kept up with this strop.

The hone is even in the direction in which you hone. But you are right, the convexity could still pose a problem. I’m just hesitant to lap the hone.

I didn't think about my bevel as an issue, because just before I set it with dilucot and it got from not shaving anything to hht1. So I didn't think about that....
