It's just a personal opinion, one isn't better than the other.
The 2040 is slightly bigger and more round, which is more suited to bigger hands, while the other is more suited to everyone else....

IMHO, the 2040 is just starting to get to be known, seen and used, while the 730 has a vintage handle and it's a brush well known to all.
