I use the .25 paste also, but I only use it as part of the honing process and only on certain razors or types of razors... I gotta clarify here though, are you stropping on the .25 pasted strop other...

If you don't strop, the razor police will come arrest you, if you take those tags off your mattress the mattress police come to arrest you too....
You can try anything you want, Me I strop before...
