Only use the 8k
Start with 10 laps sets again with a wet stone...
do 20 total laps wet, spinning the stone end to end every 10 laps so you are reversing the side you are...

Start on the 4k don't go anywhere else but that 4k
make sure it is lapped and even
Start with very light pressure (note not zero pressure)
start doing 10 lap...
