I think my main point is that it is very easy for experienced honers that have mastered the X pattern and have evolved it into other things to say...

Ok now that it is in the right place, my opinion is that there are degrees of X patterns,, ie: on a 3 inch hone the X pattern is way less pronounced then it is on the 1 inch hone... There is NOTHING...
