    I honestly think if it were mine I would go with the set first, then the finish.. if the set weakens down the road it honestly makes no difference as you would have to do...

    I think I would test the combination first,, if the Teak oil sets up on the Maple and presents as a hard, dry, surface then you should be fine..

    The other way around this would be to set the epoxy...
