I hit the alert button a few times about 90mins ago. All the mods must still be asleep after breaking the record thing yesterday. :P

So how would this work exactly? I don`t understand. How would someone differenciate between a spammer and a normal member when doing this cookie thing? Sounds much like you`d need to do it via an IP...

Thing is with the report button is that it takes time before the mods see it from what I can tell. I report spam every other day, and sometimes one of those pests manages to post another 15-20 times...

I thought only dial-up uses a non static IP address no? Or you think they might have one of them IP hiding devices?

We had one earlier today, advertising same stuff. Seriously, just ban their IP address, then they cant create a new account every other day.

Since a lot of these spammers are posting the same crap, why not ban them by IP address? If you do that, they can't sign up again without first getting a different IP address.
