I have had excellent results with the stainless hardware from Microfasteners. The stainless may seem too short but it actually works well for everything I've needed.

I spoke to a guy at MF about threaded tubing (actually threaded spacers). He was going to research it, but I never heard back from them.

I wanted to do this since it would open up other options...
