If I had to choose between a wide hone, 2.5-3.0...
If I had to choose between a wide hone, 2.5-3.0 inches, or a narrow hone, 1.0-1.5, I would choose the narrow hone.
The reason is that the narrow hones can accomadate the differences in bevel angles...
