For a finishing hone the BBW will not cut the mustard. If it did then everyone would have one.

Save your money for a 6" or longer. Yes, you can make do with a 4" or 5" but 6" is just easier to use.

RE the BBW....the garnet size in a BBW is much bigger that a Cotcule and, usually, the binder...

The BBW is not a finishing stone. Its proper use is in the mid range, 3k-5k.
Its strong suit is that it can be used with slurry or without and it has a modest price tag.
