Mine were not a piece of cake to hone. The steel in the razors is quite good and hard. It may take several hone-shave test cycles.

5/8 = 0.6250 inches = 15.87 mm
9/16 = 0.5625 inches = 14.28 mm
4/8 = 0.5000 inches = 12.70 mm
