Not at all.

I did not sand out every little mark, just wanted to freshen it up a little. That is why I started at 800 grit. I honed it today, wicked sharp, typical Dorko. It gets a shave test tomorrow morning....

A high gloss epoxy resin. I use it a lot on my scales. Gives the wood a nice deep look and is hard as nails.

To take out some of the factory mill marks for a little extra shine. Purely cosmetic.
