Gave it some hone time last night. The edge was a bit rough so it took a couple hours to work out. Gave it a shave test this morning. still tugs just a hair in one spot so back to the hones tonight...

Nope. Needs honed. The blade had minor hone ware but needs time on a half dozen stones to put the appropriate scary sharp edge on it. That is for another day. The hard part if finished.

This was the original set. On this one the bloodwood was thin and the ebony was thick. I wanted more red so I reversed the process, added a few tricks time has taught me and made the above setup...

I made a set of scales a year or two ago that I really liked. A blood wood lined ebony with a mosaic pin and a W&B blade. I ended up having to sell it for Christmas but keep thinking back to those...
