Scott there's no way I would have lapped both...
Scott there's no way I would have lapped both sides even if I had the patience...
It took me close to 3 hours to get the middle 7 inches or so flat and the etch pattern persists at the short edges... -

Yes I have noticed the uneven residue and even though I have the 8 x 3 " model I still do diagonal passes to try and even out the blade contact on the unlapped side.

I lapped one side... the one that appeared worst on straight edge testing. It has been smoothed right out and I think this has changed its...
