That should be just fine. I like pressing my soap into a mug so that I can load and lather in the same place. But if your brush picks up enough soap to lather, you're good to go.

I'm pretty sure Conk was the first stuff I ever used. I remember it being pretty good. I would suggest getting it out of that packaging, and pressing it into a mug or similar. It may be just me, but...
