Good call on the tail and tang. I contacted a guy who sold "damascus" "razors" on ebay and he sent me one to play with, free of charge. One characteristc of it was that the tang/tail area was not...

I doubt they are worth it for the scales either, unless you want to entirely re-work them. And at that point, you may as well just buy the raw material yourself.

For example, I bet they have flat...
