Jimmy, out of curiosity, do they have labeled brown Eschers, or Thuringian type hones that are brown that they call Eschers? I remember you'd posted about those guys before.

Well, it could be, but it would be impossible to know. Given that Escher sold by color and someone (Jimmy?) has a price sheet with colors on it, and no one seems to have ever seen a brown stone...

I guess you'd have to check the composition of the stone to see if it's really a Thurry, but you MUST HAVE an Escher lable for it to be an Escher. Going by look/feel/edge is really not enough for me...

I thought part of the instructions from Escher said to always keep the stones free of oil?
